The research conducted by the University of Michigan, USA shows that circulating calprotectin (cCP) is an important biomarker that supports patients stratification and resource allocation to patients with severe cases of COVID-19. Thus cCP routine measurement may offer a valuable tool to assess and monitor hospitalized patients with COVID-19, as well as other acute inflammatory conditions.

Introducerea calprotectinei ca analiza de rutina va oferi informatii de baza pentru evaluarea si monitorizarea pacienților spitalizați cu forme severe de COVID-19, precum și în alte afectiuni care se manifesta prin inflamatie acuta.
