Benign cervical erosion is a relatively frequent gynecological condition among fertile women. If it becomes symptomatic, an ablative approach is necessary to maintain a good quality of life and to avoid possible complications.
The NCT04735718 clinical investigation, entitled A Prospective, Open-Label, Multicentric Clinical Investigation to Evaluate the Performance and Safety of Cerviron® Ovules in Cervix Lesions Postoperative Care was performed in Romania at 4 investigational sites, during April 2021 – December 2022, with positive outcomes related to the device’s safety and clinical performance.
We observed a superior quality of healing with better postoperative outcomes such as reduced post-interventional bleeding, faster cell migration and stimulation of the granulation tissue.
Further clinical investigations should be directed to evaluate the performance of the medical device in other gynecological conditions associating Human Papilloma Virus infections.
